RANYAKA
STELLENBOSCH, SOUTH AFRICA
Ranyaka Community Transformation is a non profit social enterprise that was established in 2013 to bring sustainable, integrated solutions to the socio-economic challenges facing towns, neighbourhoods and communities in South Africa. Ranyaka is currently operational in 12 geographical areas across six provinces throughout South Africa, working hand-in-hand with multiple sectors implementing a collaborative community transformation model. Stakeholders include all local role players including communities, NGOs, academic institutions, funders and all levels of government. Their main mandate is to facilitate collaboration amongst these stakeholders in order to move towards collective impact and away from isolated interventions. They develop the big picture of a community contextually and then help redesign the ecosystem to function optimally, thus working towards bringing restoration, resilience and growth to neighbourhoods and towns.
