Leon is an optompreneur (an entrepreneurial optometrist) and follower, father, husband, and the founder of Optique Optometrists. Leon gained experience in private practice before starting his first start-up. He has competencies in Digital Marketing from UCT and an MBA for executive development from USB. His core skill set gravitates towards critical and strategic thinking. He is an optimistic INTJ personality with an ADHD superpower, living and working from Paarl with his wife, Thia. He enjoys coffee, books, and Formula 1 over the weekends.

Richard graduated with an Honours degree in Quantity Surveying and has spent most of the past ten years involved in various private and public partnerships and projects. During this time, he experienced a lack of access to essential services, including healthcare. His passion for project management, people, and leadership led him to join Optique on its mission to change the way people access and experience eye care. When he is not researching new ideas, Richard can be found on the golf course or next to the braai with his family and friends.
