#IMAGINE

PRETORIA, SOUTH AFRICA

#Imagine is a national youth movement that aims to inspire and mobilise South African teenagers to become the next generation of leaders. The #Imagine network annually hosts large energetic weekend events where the imagination of the next generation of dreamers, believers and doers are ignited. This is followed up and driven home with roll-out programmes to local communities and ministries. The network has grown over the past five years into one of the biggest ecumenical youth movements in South Africa bringing churches, schools and youth organisations together to build into the future of young people. #Imagine has taken up the challenge to serve the 10 million young people of South Africa by means of faith based events, support for local ministries and training initiatives for youth leaders.

FOUCHÉ DE WET

2018 FELLOW

DIRECTOR  |  #IMAGINE

Fouché is one of the directors of #Imagine and enjoys the challenges and energy that comes with a ministry involving teenagers. After studying electrical engineering and travelling abroad for a while he started working in youth ministry and youth development and he hasn’t stopped since. Fouché is passionate about ecological sensitivity and also works towards ways of helping communities live sustainable and responsible lives. He enjoys working with his hands but that made him too popular with people who needed things fixed – and so now he mainly enjoys making a mess. He is married to Marina and they live with their two children in Pretoria.
