Docotela

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa

Docotela, a Zulu word for Doctor, is a premium yet affordable subscription-based telehealth service that gives corporations and consumers access to various benefits. Their services include unlimited virtual consultations with HPCSA-registered doctors, access to basic medication via their pharmacy network, mental health support, referrals for lab tests and specialists in private and public healthcare settings and access to Electronic Health Records (EHR). Docotela aims to make quality healthcare accessible to all South Africans, especially those who wouldn’t ordinarily be able to afford medical aid or insurance. Their platform leverages mobile technologies to provide a cost-effective way to deliver private healthcare to consumers with ubiquitous access to preventative, primary healthcare for all, even for those in remote or underserved areas (i.e. township and rural areas).
